Well other than my hitch hicking dotty back, the chromis damsel is what I have used to cycle my tank. The chromis are $3.99 each.

dont get damsels....once they get bigger they get mean and u will regret getting one. get a clown fish to start out. thats what i would do...maybe a firefish. FYI if you plan on getting an angel fish add it LAST.

LOL, Damsels are only good for starter fish if you plan on later putting something in your tank that will eat them...

LOL! My favorite fish is any that eat damsels! Mean little rascals, but you have to respect them, for their size they are fearless.

when i started my tank i had a striped damsel and thats all and then i added a percula clown and the damsel tried to push him around and was quickly put in his place.
damsels are quite hardy and the clownfish may be just as hardy and the clownfish is nicer looking so id go that route.
what part of pa you from?

Yeah, I would stay away from damsels..they are mean, and hard to catch later...go with chromis, they are peaceful, inexpensive, and hardy.
