What is the best hang on skimmer out there regardless of price?

I really need a good skimmer cause I have a crappy sea clone. I am not really concerned with the price as long as it does a good job. I have a 55 now but have a 180 ordered so if there is one that I could use as a hang on now and then maybe use it on the 180 that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I haven't heard anything bad about the AquaC Remora. I have an Excalibur HV2. It is the second best.

my vote is the aqua C pro. make sure to get it with the mag drive. makes a big difference

AquaC remora Pro. If your tank is 55 gal or smaller, then the simple Remora with MJ1200.
The ONLY bad thing about them is that it is nearly impossible to clean the skimmer chamber out. Only have to do it like once every 2 years, but it is a job! Also, be careful with that little nylon screw cover that you take off to clean the sprayer.....don't drop it into the skimmer!!! I had to take the entire skimmer off the tank and spent about 10 minutes at the sink trying to get it out!!!!

aquac's collection cup is a little brittle. probably coz the cup is retangular instead of cylindric.

i have never read anything bad about the aqua c line including the remora, i have one on my 80g and it works great the only thing that people can complian about is the rubber ring that holds the collection cup in place because the rign
can crack and break

I just cut a 5/8 hole using a flat blade hole bit and it stood up just fine!!! It was retrofitting an Urchin Pro to attach the waste collector.
I agree on the rubber O-ring. Gone through two of them. Now that the skimmer is down below and out of the light, it should be better.

I read many posts on this forum and have seen lots of raiving comments about the AquaC Remora HOB skimmer. Took the advise and bought one for my 50 gallon reef tank. It works awesome. Luv it. Lots of yuk collecteced i nthe cup - I rinse it out ever 3 days or so. Can't go wrong with an Acqua C Remora.
