What is the coolest coral

My second choice would be most any coral of the genus Dendrophyllia. Rare, but obtainable if you look around. Pictured below is D. coccinea.

First choice was my Duncanopsammia axifuga
, but the only problem is it's extremely hard to find, and expensive when it is. I doubt many of you actually have heard the name.

Did that person happen to be Anthony Calfo? I know he's got a really nice sized colony.
My piece is also from Julian Sprung, but not directly. The story told to me by an employee of ORA Farms is that Julian Sprung's brother imported a large colony of duncanopsammia on a trip to Australia over 10 years ago. Then it was distributed to a couple people, including Anthony Calfo and ORA. ORA has sold a few pieces every so often and one of the pieces was to a shop in Apple Valley in Socal almost 3 years ago. I got a piece from that shop in June.
I'm currently setting up a trade with another guy for a different strain of duncan. Only 2 polyps, but he claims this strain grows faster than ORA's type.

I am sticking with AcanLords hands down. Just because of their ability and slight ease of care for such a rare coral.

i was never a huge acan fan. like id definatly buy some if i got the chance, but i was never the person to spend 40 bucks a polyp (although i definatly would for some other things). it is jsut a craze i think. there are nicer looking corals for less money. plus, they dont grow new polyps too quickly so it isnt even like you are likely to get your money back (one of the things i take into strong consideration before buying an expensive coral. which is why i have no problems dropping the money for a superman or rainbow monti :) )

We are on two opposite ends of the "price spectrum" then. I just purchased an Enchinata for 64 dollars. It's already growing like crazy. Thing is though that it is about 10 inches across and has around 80 polyps. The Red and White Lordhow that I have had 32 polyps when i got it and that ran me 42 bucks. It has doubled in size since. I guess it's more about who you know. I don't know WHAT I would spend on either one of the monti's, but I got my Mysteri Wrasse for 59 dollars also. So to me they arent expensive in the long run. Then you just take a BAT......just kidding. I fragged some of my corals several of times with a diamond bit on a drem..
See these were like $4.00 and the staghorn beneath that was $11.00 We all have our little purchasing secrets though.
