Just wondering if I need to get both airpumps and powerheads for my tank.
I am getting a 49 gallon tank with refugium. The DT is 36 1/2" wide and 15 depth.
I am not sure what I would need for this. Can someone suggest something.
Money is not an issue..so I would like to purchase the quietest equipment out there.
Can these be put in the sump? or do I need some for water flow on the water..I assume so.
Thanks to anyone that helps...

not shure of what it is your getting at but.. i think that u think. (he he confused now are we) that u need a air pump to oxygenate water??.. well in truth.. the little bubles are not what puts most of the air into the water ( the little bubles have to little of surface area for the size 0f a tank to oxygenate it..) .. it's the surface movements that adds the air.. so you just need a pump of some sort..

Air pumps are generally not used in saltwater. Powerheads are the way to go. I'd suggest Maxijet 900's and 1200's depending on what type of flow you're looking for.
