My clove polyps are growing like mad. Bought a 4 polyp head 2 months ago and now have a bush the size of a grapefruit. Also have a couple other small colonies of it i have fragged off.
Yes, I agree too broad. The corals mentioned here are very fast growers in a high nutrient system, but if you put them into an SPS system with much lower nutrients, some of them may not grow very fast at all.
LPS: euphyllias (torch, hammer, frogspawn) and candy
SPS: Montipora caps, green slimers
Softies/polyps: Xenia (unless you're going to keep up with it, don't add it to your DT), shrooms, most leathers.
Of course it depends on your tank.

i really like the pulsing xenia what do you think would happen if you kept it on one piece of rock in the middle of the sand? could it go on the sand and still spread all over the place?
In my tank, xenia and kenya are pretty much the same. But with all the frags I have enough credit to buy more corals or fish so I keep them growing all over)

It will end up walking or blowing to another location once that rock is full, or if it doesn't like it's location.
so if you buy a xenia and it grows everywhere and you don't know how to frag it......what do you do? just cut some off and toss it? just curious cause i was gonna buy some. my LFS has a small piece for 12 bucks! i thought that was a good deal <

i am gullible!!!!!
Take it back to the LFS for a possible credit. I have never had to frag mine but I have seen people do it. A simple cut at the bottom and into a bag.
