Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is? I recieved an order yesterday and this was sent with my stuff.(it was a freebee) It seems to like low lighting and mod. waterflow. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Lisa

Thanks Sammy, It opens after the lights go out for the night, I have been trying to get a good pic, but everytime I try I miss it,(I think it moves to the side on me, giggle) I just moved it to the front of the tank so I will try again tonight. Lisa

I was interested in a flowerpot to have a "bigger" coral fot the tank, and although one store here had one, he suggested that they have a short life span in aquariums...He's heard of one living up to 2 years, but in his opinion, less than a year is normal. Thinks there's something they like that can't be reproduced in a tank.
Yours looks healthy, does it open up? How long have you had it? I chose not to get it.:(

We got this one last week, we kept one in our 200 gal for almost 2 years, the cause of its dealth was my emporator angel. I nologer keep any corals except for leathers in there, we plan on try out some sps in that tank. Sorry kinda got off track..yes it does open regular, it does this usually when the lights are out, then goes back to normal size when the lights are on. I like it when it looks like this. It is said that these do have short life spans. Lisa

TimO, good choice.....thank your LFS guy for being honest. The long term survival rate of gonioporas, without exagerating as far as I know, is 0%.
