What is this black and white tube on my lr?

I looked at my live rock with the lights out for the first time tonight. I noticed in a opening at the bottom of the rock a black and white striped tube. It will extend out and eat off the live rock and the sand then go back in. It's hard to explain how it is extending and retracting but I'm going to try. It's like it's outer body rolls inside the tube when retracting and the inside rolls out when it's extending. Anyone have an idea on what is it??

sounds like a peanut worm. they extend themselves then roll back after they picked someting off of the rock. also does it look like its got hairs on the end of it when it eats? they make good cleaners and are fish and reef safe.
