What is this coral?

Does this coral sting? My clownfish have some black spots I'm hoping it's from this coral and trying to host it

I doubt it. Those look lik zoanthids. Could use a second picture but fairly certain.

Not sure why my clowns have the black spots. The first one that got it literally had a bunch of black spots overnight so I figured it was from getting stung and since this is my only coral because it was a hitchhiker or maybe it was some aptasia?

No I don't think so. Have you posted a photo of your fish in the disease forum? That would be a better place to start.

Do a search for black spots. I did and a lot comes up from ich to hyper melanization to stings and more. Just a few older posts I read

Look at the fish disease forum. There is a sticky thread that shows pictures. Look for one from Beth called hyper melanization (sp). This could be from a sting.

You may have another culprit. I still think these are Zoas.
