what is this growing?

i have a couple of these thing growing on my rock... its a tube like a freather duster but ony two strings come out and they go with the flow... ive seen these in my lfs growing out of the sand... what is this?

yep vermitad snails. they will spin some web like strings to catch food. cause stress for corals at time. my monti didnt like it at all so i crushed the snails w a tweezer.

know of any natural preditors? I would like to be rid of the few in my tank also.
