That is a big one. About a month ago I found one of the little buggers on a rock with some Zoas.. First I have had one in years.
Well.... I had no lemon juice in the fridge to use so I made up a little Kalk paste. It did him in with the first application.

I just applied a bit of the paste to the end of one of those pointy tester syringes and stuck it to him.........

joes juice or boiling hot water will kill it. use a syringe when doing this.

So I don’t need to plug it out just use lemon juice and they will die?

I wouldn't use the boiling water as it can easily damage the coral as it's very close. I would go with the kalk paste or peppermint shrimp.

Trying to pull it out will most of the time just make it spread. Any pieces that are left or break off (witch it will) will make more of them.

How do I make Kalk paste?
I have 2 red blood shrimps and 2 cleaner shrimps, can peppermint shrimp co-exist with blood shrimp and cleaner shrimp?

Peps will be OK.. mine I seldom see in the day. they are mostly nocturnal, and the shrimp you have will not be an issue.. Just drip acclimate them slowly if you add some. Some have success with them others not as much.
Making of Kalk paste is just adding a small amount of water to some Kalk. I use Mrs. Wages Picking lime from the grocery store, same stuff, just a lot cheaper to buy than at a LFS. Basically it is Hydrated Lime in food quality.....
Kalkwasser is worth reading about, learn all you can about the stuff. Both search here and Google the term. It is a useful item in maintaining Calcium in the reef tank.

Peppermint shrimp "may" control aiptasia -- especially smaller ones.. but doesn't mean that they will.
I use Mrs. Wage's Pickling lime for my evaporation top off to keep my calcium/alk levels up and stabilized with no other supplements.

If the peps shrimp eat aiptasia will they eat other corals? can I use fresh lime to kill aiptasia? Or Mrs. Wages Picking lime?

Mrs. Wages Picking lime can keep calcium/alk levels up? Sorry I'm new, but if you use Mrs. Wages you don't need to dose calcium/alk?

Big; I really like your fish image. Did you take that picture yourself? It is very cute.
That shot would have a long story... For short no I did not take that shot, I wish I had.
Many years ago my wife sent me that shot from work. Well that started her talking about how cute he was.. I saved him as wallpaper on our home puter......I have many time since looked to see who the original shot taker was to no avail.......
Although I had kept FW for more years than I would like to remember. That one shot of the little guy started the ball rolling..........
Now years later and untold thousands of dollars invested in what now she calls "That Darn Endless Money Pit"
I can always look at the little guy and say. Well you started it....

Also to answerer these two questions, No Peppermint shrimp will not bother corals......
As to Kalkwasser water . It will help with keeping calcium and alkalinity up, (PH too) But is more of a use to maintain the systems calcium, not as as a buffering method.
I still need to use a two part system to keep my calciun levels at where they should be, even with dripping Kalk nightly in my top off. ( a gallon a day) My tank has a high calcium demand.
It would be good to do a lot of research on Kalk, before just starting to use it if just starting out....... Warren

LOL. I think we all needed something to spark our interest. I started the salt water tank this year due to the same reason. During our honeymoon in the Caribbean I saw many nice salt water display tanks and got us very interested in reef. Taking care of the reef tank requires not only money but time/patient as well.

I learned something new today. I will definitely do some research about the Kalk.
Thanks for the tips.
