What is this on my new fish?

I bought 5 green damsels yesterday. I acculmated them to the QT tank. Today I woke up and went to check on them. One was dead, and 2 others have this red iritation on them. It looks like it is behind the scales. I have a pic but you cant see the red color very well. you will see a darker spot on the middle of its body. That spot is red. What is this. Is it going to die?

What are the water conditions in your QT.
I would begin an antibiotic treatment. Maracyn Two for SW fish, double dose. Just before each dose, do a water change.
Remember to remove carbon filters when using antibiotics.
Are these fish eating, breathing fast? How are they behaving? Give some info about the QT.

water temp is around 80, salinity is 1.009,ph is 8.4 ammonia is.025,no copper,no2 is 0, no3 is 0.
I think I need to get a list of meds that I should keep on hand for most of the problems fish have. All I have is garlic and copper.

I just go them yesterday. They look to be breathing normal, but the eating part I don't know yet. They are schooling and swimming around.

In my qt I also have a scooter blenny. Will this med hurt him in any way. Also You said to take out my media in the filter so the meds dont get trapped. Do I simply put the media back in after a few days? Do I need to do a small water change?
I am going to the LFS today. Can you give me a fewmeds to get to cure the most common problems?
