I've had this particular colony for about a month or so. Every day (and sometimes at night as well) I notice these long white extensions coming from certain spots. Haven't concluded whether or not the strands are removable or not since it's only been happening for about the past week or so and don't want to mess with anything too quickly. The coral has great polyp extension, it's growing, and these come out much further (like you'd see an LPS do)
Here is a pic (taken on a phone so it's not that great, but it's what I had in my hand when I saw it again today):
This is what it looks like when they're not present:
Water parameters are all good. I dose with a two part Alk/Ca Buffer by Brightwells as needed (about once a week or so).
People have told me everything from tentacles just extending, to expelling zoanthellae, to it's still acclimating. So SWF, got any ideas?
Also, if any of you can ID this coral as well, please let me know.
