What is this pink stuff???

Today i notice a little bit of pink algae on the sand. Is this coralline algae???:notsure:

Pink on the sand and not the rocks?? Sounds like the very beginnings of red slime (cyno).

yea not familiar with coraline on sand, more likely cyano

But, he/she said it was pink algea on the sand. So it could be the beginnings of cyano. Can you give alittle more info?

I would say cyano... sand doesn't usually grow coraline...

i have had some purple coraline start to grow on my sand before. i didnt believe it was possible either. but i was haveing mad coraline growth. i know you you cant really have to much but it was a lil out of control. i was getting it every where. so i believe its a possibility.
