What is this silverish transparent fish in my liverock??

I added 50 pounds of live rock last night and noticed that among around 5 extra starfish and a few little unidentifiable crabs there is a fish that just skims around the surface of the rock and darts in holes whenever i see it. Someone suggested its not a fish. But it definately is a fish - it has fins and a tail. It came around the surface of the rock today so I could get a good look at it. It is extremely fast and when I get to close to the tank it just jets right into a hole. But it is a fish. It is a silverish-transparent color and has verticle stripes all over it. Its eyes are very close together and it is very very thin. Maybe 1/8th-1/4th an inch in width. But it is a little less than an inch long. WHAT IS IT?

Well, I don't know what it is but it sounds really cool. Can you get a picture of it or maybe check out the net and try to find it. Sounds like you got some really neat things that hitched on your LR.

What color are the stripes?
hummm..
*Silver in color with verticle stripes.
*Very Thin.
Does it have darker colored stripes? Do the stripes run all the way through the eye? Is there any more activity from it during the night or day?
Very preliminary, sounds like a baby Bangaii Cardinal. Look for a pic of a BC and see if thats it.
I still cant imagine seeing a fish live through the live rock collection, curing (probably not cured) shipping, and cycleing process.
BTW- where did you get your LR to have so much cool stuff in.on it? Email me...
