what is this thing thats growing on my rock

This thing is pretty cool looking and is growing really good. I have 3 now. Well2. I killed 1 moveing the rock. But the other 2 are doing great. What is it and is it reef safe. Also will my snails or blue leg hermits eat them. Sorry for the crapy pics. The pic kinda looks like aptasia but its not. When it opens up its almost hairy lookin. And when he sucks in the tube he is sticking of it dose not go into the rock. The tube almost looks like a stick.

I just googled it. Thats what it is alright. Some of them on google look cool. Are they reef safe. And will my inverts eat them

The are filter feeders. Good stuff. I have found Peppermint shrimp to have an affinity for them.

yea my buddy's pepp shrimp eat them up. But other inverts like snails should not harm them. I have a small one growing in my tank right now, and nothing including my fire shrimp harm it one bit

well I keep my fingers crossed. Thanks guys I have been wandering what that was. It was finally big enough to take a pic of. They are some hardy guys. To survive my cycle and all with out a problem
