i broke the rule of thumb by adding a hippo without qt. a few days later he was covered in spots. i was able to catch him and throw him in a 10 gl tank. within two days he was spot free. i left him in there though. while that was happening about a week later my flame angel was covered in spots. once again within two days he was spot free. i left him in my main tank during this process. all i did was heavy feeding of fresh garlic on both tanks and i have a fire shrimp, but only in my main tank. question is it has been about about three weeks since my hippo was covered what should i do now? did they just battle ich and so far i am safe is it something else?/ just confused where to go

i also have three clowns that have never had a spot on them yet (knock on wood) and my scopas had a couple "pepper" spots on him for about 24 hours while my angel was covered. all the fish even with the spots never acted like they were sick. is it ok to put my tang in the main tank?
