What is THIS? :scared: :help: :scared: I found this while watching my tank today. It might be an anemone but I'm not sure. Is it bad?

could be Ball Anemone (Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum) or maybe a glass anemone not sure there is also a larval form of hydroids that look like them so search and see of you can find a pick that looks like yours.

I have those in my Nano tank and they DO mulitply. They are right over my fan worm but he doesn't seem to be bothered much by them. Mine have a dark pink center and the little balls on the tips are white. Thanks Dragonladylea for easing my mind about them too. They sure are pretty little things!

I would have to disagree...I'm guessing that is Florida Live Rock..Or atlantic rock...I would say that is a "Hidden Cup Coral.."

IMO its definatly not a hidden cup coral (unless its a common name for another type) here is a link to a picture of a hidden cup coral for some reason I cant attach. oh well.

but I do believe it is a coral of some kind. I have a couple of them in my tank. I have had all three of them since I put one of my first pieces of live rock in and they have never multiplied.

Touch it, then get a pic. If it's a hidden cup, you will see the skeleton. If it completely disappears then it's the
pseudocorynactis caribbeorum that the other's have mentioned...
Paste that into google for more pics.
My guess is still the PC, but I'm only looking at the pic and you can see the real thing.

You shouldnt even need to touch it to see a skeleton, I'm pretty sure with the length of the tentacles on yours its a Pseudo they are pretty common in our reef tanks.
