What is this?

I have about 45-50 lbs of tonga branch LR cover in this stuff. I took a piece to the LFS and she did not know what is was and said there was nothing to worry about. There is probably hundreds if not thousands of these little white things with tenicals. They all are about 1/8th of inch long. SO what is it? Thanx

I think they kinda look more like feather dusters but bein I'm somewhat new to the saltwater world I am not sure. Anybody else?

Another type of featherdust in this wonderful hobby. I have some too they are cool and spread fast...

if they all look like this one (which is not a feather duster) i would begin scrubbing rock... i would say that one is aipstatia or hydroid but definately not duster tenticles.

After you point that out it sure doesn't look good. Might as well be safe and get rid of it...

im not sure about aiptasia but it could possably be a hydriod. it doesnt look like a feather duster....

i would also agre that they are hydroids. sometimes they go away after the tank matures, and sometimes you need to cleen it off the rock. but either way, get rid of em. they supposedly sting corals.
