what is this

i think its some sort of finger leather (it was really cheap)... i got it about 2 hrs ago and put it in the tank about an hour ago and its already opened up like this... from the pics ive seen that look like it, it will get huge... also i have seen some leathers set in the sand, should i put it in the sand or on the lr??? it is attached to a snail shell...

not certain but that looks like a colt coral to me

yup i second colt coral its a great coral! i like them i had one and it grew so huge and spread all over but i got rid of it now that im doin mostly sps corals but deffinately a nice coral

then u have pleanty it should attach to rock and spread that way and it should grow failry fast in the right tank

okay thank you murph... been looking at a lot of pics today and seeing a lot of yours... nice job... like i said the colt is attached to a snail shell, should i leave it on the shell??

yeah just kinda wedge it into the rock work and from there it will attach itself along the rockwork and spread from there! i really like colts but i just didnt wanna chance the chemical warfare in my tank with the sps
