When I woke up this morning and turned on the lights, I noticed all this stuff on the stem of my mushrook. It kinda looks like a fungas. I hope the picture comes out alright.
Is it harmful to my mushroom and if it is, what do I do?

It's all the squigley stuff on the stem.

Looks almost like it's guts. They spit them out sometimes, either when they're stressed or splitting or something along those lines. IMO, it'll be fine, they're pretty hardy.

I hope so. My tank has been acting funny. My pump is falling appart and my lights are all wrong because they keep messing up my order.
My levels are all good so I guess that's a good thing. How will I know if it's NOT going to be alright?

Well, it's tough to say, but they're hardier than most coral types. If it shrivels up and doesn't come back in a few days then it might have trouble, but all of mine have survived almost anything. The only place where mushrooms fail miserably is chemical warfare. LPS and SPS stinging cells and hormones melt mushrooms pretty good and they're tough to bring back after that.

its funny, i have a bunch of mushrooms that are holding their own vs a frogspawn, but the darn frogspawn is making my kenya drop branches like mad.

thats crazy. people laugh when I tell them that the corals war with each other. So far I haven't had a problem.
I think my star polyps grew OFF my rock and not DOWN it because my yellow polyps are there. I was glad because it made it easy to cut off the extra piece and trade it for something different.

Hehe...I had one melt from a frogspawn attack recently, though the frogspawn is splitting, so it's likely more "aggressive" right now...haha. Can't wait too, it's been only a single head for nearly a year now.
