better, but to what are you referring? I see some coraline and hair algae... Maybe draw an arrow to your unknown inhabitant and describe it a bit?

I see coralline algae on the left; hair algae top and center; a snail on the right. I'm guessing you mean the hair algae. It's a product of excessive light and/or excessive nutrients in the water. Consider reducing your lighting schedule, reducing feeding, switching (if you don't use it already) to RO/DI water. Also consider growing macroalgae such as chaetomorpha in a sump or refugium, and possibly adding some kind of clam. Either of these will remove nutrients from the water. And, of course, increase the frequency of your water changes to export excess nutrients.

Its the hair algae im refering to, ive done what you have suggested already but it looks like its coming back a bit I have no sump or refugium so i'll try larger water changes, I do 10% every 2weeks. Thanks

What type of water are you using??? Can you get a better picture??? It's kinda blur and small....Look up Bryopsis, make sure you don't have this algae, it's EVIL to deal with. I've been dealing with it for the past 2+ years and it's not fun....Finally I got one tank that did really good because all the fish ate all the bryopsis and the other one is under different treatment. I will make a post after my treatments of ALL the methods I've tried and what work, what don't....Doing new treatment, so far looking promising.....

My son has been battling hair alage and cyano for the past few months. Lighting schedule change, feeding less, a few frequent water cahnges, and put in some cepultra (spelling). It has finally stopped growing. Now i am dealing with it in my tank. Dont try to quick fix it! Understand it, and solve the problem. It will go away.
