this is growing in my tank. It is very small, a little smaller than the size of a button. the picture is the best i could do, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very curious what the heck it is. it looks like a very small anemone of some kind to me but my knowledge of the subject is minimal at best.

google aptasia images.
It's really hard to tell what it is from the pic, but those look like long tentacles.

Nope. They don't multiple like the plaque and are beautiful. Traditionally they end up dying in our tanks.

BTW, i think cranberry was refering to the pciture of the really pretty redish anemone you posted, not neccesarily refering to the first pair of picks.
The chances of the first two picks being strawbe anemones is probably pretty slim considering they arent very common. much more likley to be aiptasia or majano. can we get a better pic. maybe closer up?

I was actually referring to the OPs pics. I honestly don't need a better pic, I can see what they are in that one. They actually are pretty common .... I've gotten them 3-4 different times as hitchhikers.
These are the ones in my tank. The OPs have a paler pink base.
