I am currently drip acclimating this Hippo to a hospital tank. It did not belong to me, but the person who does own it know that I would pitch a fit if he flushed another fish before giving me a shot at curing it. I went over to his house expecting to see ick. This is not ick. All I know about his tank is...
specific gravity=1.023
temp=??
ph=8.3
dkh=30!
I don't know his nitrates/trates/ammonia. I guess I shoulda checked them, but I was so anxious to get him home to start acclimating him.
They're tank is only a 55 which could have contributed, but my hospital is only a 30. What steps would you recommend??

Oh yeah, and rapid breathing. Only that's possibly from the transport?
