What is your lighting schedule?

I just wanted to see some lighting schedules that you have your tanks on.
I'm getting a timer today.

My refruguim is on all night while tank lights are off. Tanks light are on 9 am to 9 pm. Works for me most do few less hours.

I do not have a refugium...is it okay if my lights are off all night?

Yes, having the lights off all night is fine. Running the refuge lighting opposite the display lighting helps stabilize the PH.

you can have your lights off - night no problem having a refrug with lights on at night just help the ph stay a little more stable.

I just got my lights and this is the schedule I'm looking for:
11:00 a.m. actinic VHO's on
1:00 p.m. MH's on
9:00 p.m. MH's off
11:00 p.m. actinic VHO's off
11:00 p.m. moonlights on til 11:00 a.m.
From 1-9:00 I'm running both vho's and mh's. Is this correct?

That's fine!! The only reason I do not run my VHO actinic's with the MHs is because I'm currently running 20k MH which are plenty blue... most people do run the actinic's with the MHs.

I have a HOB refugium and wonder if the light from that is too much for my tank if I run it 24/7. I don't want to block it out because the refugium is more fun to watch than the tank sometimes. I run the actinics from 8-10am 10K and actinics from 10am-8pm then actinics from 8pm-10pm moonilights from 10pm-6am

mine go on at 2pm and go off at 12am.
Mostly cause I'm a night person and I'd rather enjoy my fish after work but I don't think it matters so much as long as you keep them on about 10 to 12 hours a day.

is there a way to only have the white lights on in the nano dx or are the blue lights always on?

I recently set a timer up.. and iv only been keeping them on about 8 hours... is this not enough? Should i bump it up to 10-12 hours?
I do not have a refugium either.
