What kind of coral is this?

I placed an order with swf.com and one of the items was a "mystery coral". I received it and am impressed with it's health and size but being a newbie I'm not exactly sure what it IS! I'm guessing it's some sort of leather?
Once I find out what it is I will do the homework and figure out what conditions it likes best. Since I have three tanks up and running I'm sure I should be able to find someplace it will be happy. Thanks in advance!

Oh wow - that thing is gorgeous! I noticed mine has more "nubbies" than it did yesterday - dare I hope it might look that good??????
I need to find a good spot for it - do you suggest up high on a rock or on the sand bed?

I have my leather on the CC I like to start all my corals there until they get acclimated then move them higher in the tank if I want and see how they do. This guy seems to like it just where it started so there he stayed
