I'd like to put together a 10 gallon QT and am wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions for a filter. Preferably the QT will be one where I can put it together when needed and then taken apart when not in use. (I'm not expecting to have to use the QT more then once or twice).
I have a 29 gallon BioCube (FOWLR) DT with 2 clown fish, 1 Fire Fish Goby, and 1 Lawn Mower Blenny. The DT is almost 5 months old and all of the fish have been in there for at least 3 - 3.5 months. I want to ensure that I keep a small to moderate bio-load so I may only add one or possibly two more fish (and coral sometime in the near future). I've gotten very lucky this far and have had a healthy tank. I simply don't want to risk bringing in any diseases/parasites with the one or two fish that I will add so so therefore I think it's probably necessary to set up a QT.
For the QT I plan on just getting a basic 10 gallon tank with a standard light/hood, a heater, thermometer, and some things for the fish to hide in (maybe some plastic tunnels or flower pot?) Am I missing anything from the list?
Thanks for your help
