What kind of food is best for Corals

I was just wondering what the best stuff to feed corals.Stuff that is good for them.I feed mine krill and sliversides.Is that good or is there any other stuff that is better than that <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

They will need some type of filter feeder food like Phytoplankton. DT's is preferred becasue it is live culture but it's expensive and can be hard to find. Kents phyto plex is fine and available everywhere. There are many many others. Be careful of filter foods like microvert as too much can cause problems with amonia or nitrite spike as this is a meat product. You really do not need to give them very much food though as most corals get their nutrician from your lights, the filter food is just an additional source of nutrician not the main source.

Marine Snow is a good one also.I have and still use the KENT stuff. Oh the Snow should be used lightly also. :D

A regular addition of dt's phytoplankton.....along with a diverse diet(mysis/brine/silversides/krill/bloodworms/prime reef/formulas 1&2/spirulina formula/seaweed selects/occassional fresh shrimp or scallope) plus an assortment of osi flakes now and then.....I try to alter the diet daily...and normally try to soak most foods in zoe.........
