what kind of heater?

I'm setting up a 20 gallon tank to cure live rock in. How many watts should this heater have?(going to get the visi-therm variety) And besides a powerhead is any other equipment needed?

You not so much getting rid of unwanted creatures as you are building a bacteria base. When Live rock comes in it has some cool stuff on it. Most of the time it dies due to ammonia spikes and the like..
As far as a heater. I'd say you could run with a 100 watt and be safe.
P.S. Run the heater while curing. Sometimes there are polyps and other corals on the rock that would die in extreme cool conditions.
