What kind of light for a LTA?

What the best light for a LTA? What can they handle PC T-5 or halides? Can the live in low light? I no someone who thinks his LTA is not doing well I'm not sure what lights he's running but I know its not much.

They need MH's.

They will live in most any light, as long as there is enough of it. 5 watts per gallon.
