What kind of light

Hello,
As of now I have 2X55 watts power compact and a 40 watts 50/50 NO tube on my 75 gallon tank. My tank depth is 16". What I like to know is which upgrade is better? A VHO or Metal Halide lighting system? I would like to use the new upgrade with my existing power compact, which is the better combination? Any advice would be appreciate before I shell out my money.

It depends what you want to keep but MH would be the best.IMHO
2 175W 10000K bulbs with the support of PC's should let you do just about anything without having to worry about if there is enough light.

As of now my tank is a fowlr but I would like to have some soft coral and then later move to sps.

With what you are looking to keep you can probably go VHO and save the expense of MH. MH can look better sometimes, but VHO would probably be a little cheaper. I think i got my IceCap Ballast and 4 96 watt bulbs for like $300.
