I guess the heading is not really the question. :D My question is I can not find base rock around here right now. I was woundering what else is suggested to use or what can I use fro base rock? Is there anywhere I can go like a yeard place that sells rock to find some base rock that would work well? If so what would I be looking for? I want to put it with my LR or course. :D
I know some people use lava rock for there base rock but I dont really want to use that. There just seems to be so much dust and dirts that keeps coming of that it seems you can never get that off of it.
Any suggestions?
Thank You

yeah don't use lava rock. It has some chemicals in it that arnt good for the aquarium. Try to get a calcium carbonate base rock. Thats what the fiji rock is. HTH

You can also make pvc pipe structures to put the LR on top of. This is probably the cheapest way, the sand covers the pvc structures.

Check out ----. Do a search for dry base rock. The guy (hirock) lives in calli I think. Its nice rock and you will probobly pay alot less for shipping than I what I paid for shipping.

How much of the base rock did you get from the auction? Also how much LR did you put with it? Do you see some corline algae growning on it already?
Also what did you do to it if anything before you put it in your tank? Like rinse it or what?
Well sorry for all the questions. :D I just want the inside of the stuff. :D I guess I will e mail and try to get a small amount.
