What kind of plants can I plant in an agg tank?

I was told by my LFS that I should only put in plastic plants if I want greenery in my tank, because the fish would either eat them or just shred them.
But Im thinking that this one tank has only a dwarf lion and a brittle star, so since the lion is carniverou (he is, isnt he?), then I should be able to put beneficial plants (plants that would benefit my system overall) in the tank without havint to run a fuge for them.
But what types of plants should I get for this aggressive tank?

I think you would be fine with any macro algae. Caluerpa or chaetomorpha (something like that... not sure on spelling) work good.
I dont think your fish will eat them unless you get an angel or a tang.
