What kind of power head to you like?

What kind of pwer head do people like to use for current in there tank?

I like maxi jets. I have found a lot of people like them and they are a good quality brand so I stick with them.

I got a 802 power head now for my 55 gal. tank. I want to add something else to the other side. What would you suggest in the Maxi Jet a 600 or 900 one?

I use to like Rio's years ago they were good, I still have several that have run for 13 years and some for 10 years, but the newer ones haven't held up and I've had better luck with maxi Jet.

I've got a Marineland Penguin 550 powerhead. I've had this small pump for maybe 5 years, first in a freshwater tank running a bio-wheel, then in my first marine fish only tank, 29 gallons, now in my 65. Love this pump, quiet, reliable, and cost next to nothing mail order. 12 bucks + shipping.

One that you left out is the ZooMed Powersweep. I had one for a while and then took it back. It seemed to work fine, but I've heard that they are high maintenance to keep the sweep action working properly. Personally I use Maxi Jets and Aqua Clears...both are good IMO.

I use two fluval 4 (280 gph) as my powerheads, minus the filter body. They work well to complement my rio 2500 and give my tank a nice bit of kick.
