what kind of sand bed?

I am setting up a ray and shark tank. it is a 250 gallon tank Live Sand is just too much $$$$ I was woundering what other type of sand could I use. I am in San Diego and I tryed to find (yardRight Tropical playsand) but you can not get it out here. Only thing I found was Quickrete brand. if anyone could help me out that would be great... thanks for reading my post.

is the kind you found in a clear bag? is the sand white
