What kind of sea anemone is this???

Looks like a strawberry anemone. As far as I know, illegal to pull from California waters.
Did you harvest them, or did they come on the rock? Looks like cold water strawberries.

SoCal California has some really stupid laws. It's also illegal to pick poppies there, I guess 20 billion and counting would make them "endangered" in the People's Republic.

I used to volunteer for the sheriff's office back in Missouri. I was McGruff, the crime dog, during parades. I threw candy and bubble gum to kids and waved to everyone.
Keeping the sheriff's business card in your wallet has it's advantages.
Obtaining a CCW in southern Ca is entirely too difficult. And .50 BMG rifles. What's the deal with that ban? How many crimes have ever been committed with a 50 caliber rifle?
I had to leave several guns in Missouri when I moved out here. "Mom, can I leave this with you?"
