What kind of skimmer will work w/a BioCube?

I'm trying to find a skimmer that will work with my 29 gallon BioCube. I currently have the BioCube Protein Skimmer, but I just don't think it's doing a very good job. I'd like to try something better. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not sure if this one will fit your cube. I been using a Red Sea prizim HOB, lasted for years and does a great job.

The Aquasticlife 115 is a good skimmer....I have on in my 29 standard....Henry (Spanko) uses one in his bio-cube, and he says it will fit in the center section

Thanks! I put an Aquatic Life 115 in there just now. I put it in the middle chamber. The bubbles are only coming up to the bottom of the little cup in the middle. Should they be rising hire than that?

the two basic adjustments on ur skimmer and someone correct me if im wrong.... u can adjust the o-ring around the cup up and down and adjust the air valve open and more closed the cup up and down will let the bubble go to the top and the air valve just lets more or less bubbles in the pump...
by tuning these two things....u should get a slow nice bubble foam rising to the top and sitting their....when it starts to "dry" it will turn to yucky nasty green-brown tea. Thicker tea imo is better.
I own a hydor slim skim thats a 3 1/4"x 3 1/4" square and i think it would fit in a bio-cubes back section/

I tried the BioCube one for the past 3-4 months...unfortunately it just wasn't working. I would basically just get clear water collecting in the cup regardless of how I adjusted the air valve.

As far as I can tell, there isn't an o-ring. The cup and the base it sits on aren't adjustable in any way. I've been experimenting with the air valve, turning it one way and then the other. The maximum amount of bubbles seems to be coming with where the air valve is now positioned. The bubbles are still only at the base of the little cup. Perhaps it will just take time??
