what kind of soap?

is there a good soap i can use to wash my hands before putting them in my tank?? thanks!

I use vinegar I personally wouldnt use soap on my hands just before putting them in the tank. it wouldnt take much of a residue to case problems.

I also use white vinegar to wash my hands prior to them going into the tank. You can also use this to wash aquarium products such as skimmers, powerheads, or pumps.

Hot water works fine too, unless you have something on your hands.

I still feel weird putting my hands and arms in the tank, mainly because i know where they have been

I just use dishwashing detergent 'cause it rinses off easier than soap and then scrub with a soft bristle brush and rinse again.

A lot of fish supply places sell aquarium gloves that come up to the elbow. JMO

I rinse with RO/DI water. (thank god I always have 20G tank made up)

just be sure to rinse well, then rinse again and you should be fine..

I use the long rubber gloves. Best way to go...especially when you have anything venomous!
