If i need to feed my puffer hard food to keep his teeth filed down, what type of stuff should I pick up at the store? I feed him soft shrimp, is there a different type I should feed him?

Get the unshelled shrimp from the deli, My puffer seems to like both equally well. Depending on the size of the puffer there is krill to. They are a little tougher, I would think it may help them out some.

I replenish a clean up crew in my puffers tank every month. I'll put in 10 blue legged hermits and 5 astrea snails and he'll pick them off in the night over the course of a month or two. I find this the best method because:
1.) They are so cute to watch "hunt"
2.) The snails and crabs are natural food in the wild
3.) Its LIVE
I am lucky enough to have a puffer that eats ANYTHING. I have to keep him away when I am feeding formula 1/2! Little pig.
