What other fish do you have in your tank with a Snowflake Eel??? Just wondering because I have one and want to have some ideas about other fish to put in there. Also include what size tank it is.
Thanks

Basically anything that won't fit in its mouth. Avoid long, skinny fish such as gobies and blennies.

triggers are not the best choice to go with SFE they are a very docile eels and triggers are known to be a bit more nippy they can in some cases be ok but add with caution knowing it may not give the best results.I had a sfe with an engeneer goby (adult) they lived under the same rock for 3 yrs.any fish that wont fit into the eels mouth is safe from the eel just make sure your eel is safe from them

Also, fish with longer fins like batfish, tangs, angels, etc might not be a good idea. When feeding my eel bites all over the place adn made a few "cresents" in the fins of a yellow tang.

Not the trigger and yellow tang

I had a Snowflake and a Lunare Wrasse together for along time. It was pretty cool at feeding time because both would eat right out of my hand.

Well he's about a foot now and about the fatness of a sharpie marker . I keep all my fish well feed , so there is no reason to eat his tank mates .

i agree ive had a full grown snowflake and he never attacked anyone unless it was feeding time and he never actually caught one because they cant see for beans. I would put anything you want with one of those eels. my snowflake was a good 25" and the size of golf ball around at least, i havent had him for a while now, i sold him with a lion i had a while back. i have never seen a snowflake that big again.

Snowflake eels are a lot less agressive than other eels. The rule of thumb here is no tiny fish. Snowflakes look mean, chase fish, but have a tough time biting anyone in your tank. I have had my eel in the same tank with a Perc clown that could definately be swallowed whole by the eel but he can't catch him.

ADD to this list a small 2 inch fuzzy dwarf lion a small dog face puffer and a second snow flake eel. I will keep you updated on how things are going .

I have in my 92 gallon bowfront:
1 mar. clownfish
1 purple pseudo
1 porc puffer
1 niger trigger
1 sfeel
I did have a yellow tang in there but had to take him out once I realized that it was too much for that size tank. I've had it set up for 3 months now, and they are super happy and super fat..my snflake eel is growing really quick, but he leaves everyone alone. he only comes out of his cave for 1 thing, and 1 thing only-shrimp.
