My Rio 2500 return pump could have ruined my day. I got it out of the sump almost the second it started sparking and flames shooting up though. I have had no other results as far as I could tell. Water tests are all o.k. but now I have to order another pump. Can you please tell me which one can replace this one and maybe not catch anything on fire in the future???

I had an almost identical experience with a Rio 2500 about two years ago. The Rio was replaced with a Mag 9.5 that's been running flawlessly since with a minimum of maintenance.
