What sand to use?

I have crushed coral now and its been a huge hassle and I want to change to sand
but theres three major types
reef sand ( I dont know if this effects non reef fish )
Live sand
and Marine sand
any suggestions?

hey man, i have a 55 gal and from what i found on this site there is alot of downs 2 having CC and i decided 2 replace it with live sand. i have about an inch 2 an inch and a 1/2 as the bed of my tank.

Sounds like they are the same thing with different names.
True "live" sand (like you can order here under the live rock section) comes directly from the ocean and is fresh and full of critters.
You can go with bagges sand and add a layer of live sand over it for a healthy sand bed.
Research sand bed types and depths. If you want a shallow sand bed, stay under 1 inch. For a deep bed go 3+ inches (I prefer 4+ inches).
