I'm just curious on what some people ma stock a 72 gallon FOWLR...and some inverts with? I have some fish in it, but just curious on what some one would stock this tank personally.

I actually have a voltains lion fish...I didn't post the inhabitants because I'm curious on what people would stock it with. We both think the same lmfao

pair of Banks Butterflyfish -- Prognathodes aya
pair of Venustus Angelfish -- Paracentropyge venustus
pair of Japanese Cherry Anthias -- Sacura margaritacea

Obviously a colder water tank, 68°F, running a big chiller.
Not to get all preachy, but a 72 gallon bowfront, is going to be too small for your typical FOWLR predator-type fish, esp. in the long run, including that Volitian...

Yeah I figured that, with the money spent on a bowfront I could have purchased a 180 gallon tank. I'm 15, but my cousin has a 225 gallon FOWLR.....that is cycleing. He said he would take my lion if it gets to big.

Another younger person! I'm loving this, lol. I'm sixteen. Ever think about an eel? I've been getting the ich for one lately. No open tanks though. ><

If it were my tank I'd probably do a butterfly of some sort, a Dwarf Lionfish and a pair of Gold Bar Maroon Clownfish and maybe a dwarf angelfish of some sort if it would behave with the lion.

I have a 72 bow also, I started out with a blue chromis(cycle fish, but I will let him live in there as long as he wants). Then a basic clown fish, green spotted puffer, valentini puffer. Had all of those since the summer. My wife finally talked me into getting more fish, my original idea drastically changed. She bought me two fish for my christmas present, I saw a very small volitan that I thought was very cool, so we picked him up, after the explanation that he will fit anything he can in his mouth. So I assumed all risk that the other fish could possible disappear one day. Then we picked up a yellow tang and a bannerfish. My tank is definitely maxed out at this point. If anything happens to outgrow the tank, I'll have no problem finding it a new home.
It all depends what your envisioned plan is. I do have invertebrates in my tank, small hermit crabs that I bought for the puffers, but they have no interest in them. I also have a chocolate chip starfish, which was a great purchase, nobody even messes with it.
My original idea was to have smaller fish, firefish, clowns, chromis, but that idea quickly changed.
