My 2 new blood red shrimps have come from a tank with ick and one of them has a black spot/ hole on it. should i extend the quarentine period?

No, three weeks will do it. The black mark will be gone with the next molt.

what about the shrimp pods that Beth talked about in her thread on isopods and copepods (the bad pods that live under the shrimp's shell) lets say worst case scenario, that my shrimp has them, how long does it take 4 them 2 die off
