1 upgrade
2 give to LFS. he has a 4500 gal tank with a nurse but i don't want him to get rid of them. they were born in captivity, one male and one female and love to eat out of your hands!
3 set free

1. If you can and want to keep them
2. If he wants them you should be able to get some good store credit for future needs.
3. NEVER!!!!! Critters should never go back into the ocean after being kept in captivity.

I would never let them go in the wild. I am just getting frustrated with the whole thing and trying to find them a good home.

Dazed- are you talkin' about Chris at The Fish Store in FP? I think they'd be a nice addition to his big tank.

I don't think the Smithsonian has a tank for rays. The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center in Stuart has several ray tanks. They even have a large stingray feeding tank for visitors to feed them as an attraction. That is where I would send them if it were me. The guys would still get alot of human interaction there. I picked up a pamphlet from the Smithsonian last week. Their phone number is 772-225-0505. www.floridaoceanographic.org
I have never been there myself but I am planning on visiting soon. Please keep us updated.

Hi Mary, this is Bob, the "guerrilla reef raider". I suggested the Smithsonian because they'd know what to do with the rays. I haven't been to the place in Stuart- I'd forgotten it was there, as I don't take A1A very often, but I think we'll take the kids down there today.

I love the Smithsonian. I was just there with my mom last week.
Dazed I would definitely give them each a call. They won't stear your wrong. Both places are reputable and I am sure they help each other out alot. Please keep us updated.

I am going to try the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center, they get all of the fish they have in their 750,000 gal lagoon from local fishermen.

Great! I am sure they will be happy there and they will be well taken care of and also get the human interaction they are used to.
