What should I use?

What should I used to paint the inside of the canopy when it is done. I want to paint it white but are there any consequences from doing so if not what type of paint and I looking for? Thanks for your help

Something epoxy based, would be your best bet

Primer first
Paint whatever color you want
Then Polyurathane / Clear coat the heck out of it.

If (for some reason) I wanted to paint the inside of my hood . . .
assuming the hood is wood - I'd use the cheapest white paint I could find. Paint places often sell mis-mixed paint for pennies on the doller - and I'd find the lightest color I could from the pile.
