What should my Salinity be with Inverts

My salinity right now is between 1.020 and 1.021. My fish are doing fine with it(2 yellow tail damsels and A True Perc). I have 6 astreas(4 died thanks to falling off and my crabs getting them) and 10 blue legs and 5 scarlet reefs.
Do I need to raise my salinity for those inverts?
What do I need to add it to?
I just add about a cup of salt per gallon right?
Thanks

I keep my salinity at 1.021 and all my inverts seem to be doing fine. Probably would be a good idea to raise it a little bit though. The inverts can live in 1.020, but it is better for them if it's higher. :D

Hi, your salinity should be 35ppt. Which works out to 1.026. This is the optimum salinity for inverts as well as corals. This is atleast the level of what reefs in nature are, so you want to mimic the natural setting as much as possible. Folks who don't have corals keep it lower for the fish, not so much for the inverts. The higher the salinity, the harder it is for the fish to exchange gases...espicially in a closed system such as an aquarium. HTH

mine is 1.025+ but not 6, but if you do raise it, do so very slowly, takesdays, or weeks
