What size heater

I currently have 1 500watt heater for my 105 gal tank + 25 gal sump will this be enough to heat my fish only tank
will I need another or bigger heat for my tank

yes the 500 watt heater will be more than enough you prob could have gotten away with a 300 watt or 2 150's i use a 250 in my 75 which is rated for 90-100

You will be much safer if you use TWO smaller heaters than one big one.The thing is if the big one sticks ON,it will cook your fish very quickly.But if you have two small ones,if one sticks on,it will take quite awhile to kill the tank...thus giving you a chance(more time) to catch the malfunction...

Two lower power heaters are better than one big one. I just had a 100W heater get stuck ON. I found out during a water change. The water was 88F. A 200W heater is recommended for a 55g tank. I hate to think how hot the water would have gotten with a 200W. The 100W was a 6 month old subersible heater.
