WHAT SIZE HOLE FOR A RETURN LINE IN A 10 GALLON SUMP, FOR A 58 GALLON SHOW TANK?

I'M IN DIRE NEED OF HELP WITH MY SUMP I'VE RECENTLY BUILT! I'M WANTING TO PUT A RETURN PUMP ON THE INSIDE OF THE SUMP WITHOUT HAVING TUBING AND HARDWARE COMMING OUT OF THE TOP OF SUMP LID! WANTING TO HAVE HOLE DRILLED AND INSTALL A BULKHEAD IN THE SIDE OF SUMP TO HELP KEEP IT NEAT UNDER STAND! ANY HELP WOULD GREATLY BE APPRECIATED.EMAIL ME AT MICHAEL42869@YAHOO.COM/THANKS!

I would suggest looking at a bulkhead fitting that is at least the pipe size of the discharge from your pump, and even better going with the next size up from that.
1/2" pump outlet .... use 3/4" bulkhead
3/4" pump outlet .... use 1" bulkhead and piping
etc ...
