I have a 37 gal. reef tank. What size sump would you recommend if I went with one?
Thanks

The bigger the better is the rule. More sump = more water = more stable system. Also less worry about overflow.
On my 46g tank I have a 20g sump filled with LR/LS/Caulerpa, and all of the equipment. Visible through the link below.
I am designing a 180 or 200g system that will duplicate the 46g, and I will probably use a 100g sump.

ON my 50 gallon reef I have a 30 gallon tank as my sump.
BUt relize that if you have a 20 gallon sump that doesn't mean there is going to be 20 gallons of water in it. Its probly only going to fill half way at the most.

A good rule of thumb is as large as you can get under your tank. :D

larger is better but get at least 30% main tank size. But you need to find the water overflow level. Bigger = easy to do not as critical

I'm putting a 40 breeder on my 29 reef sometime soon. The only way this is possibe is because it will sit next to the tank on a seperate stand. Also, I have a ?, will my skimmer be necessary on this tank? It will be a mangrove/caulerpa/LR/LS sump.

skimmer= no once tha alga has gotten established you may never want another skimmer. I would start off without one. Just stock slow and let the alga take
