What size powerheads should I use?

I heard that you should have 10x the water. So with a 50gal tank that would be 500gph. But would 2 400gph be too much? I'll probably have a lot of soft coral with some hard and a few fish.

You want atleast 10X if you gonna do reef you'll want 20X.I would do two Koralia 2 powerhead.

I think for your setup either one would work. You may just have to watch where you place some of your lower flow corals so that they are not getting blasted, but the flow pattern on the hydors is pretty wide so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
